| Ruby Lin and Leroy Young play college sweethearts in ‘The Way We Were’ |
What choices do you make in life out of responsibility and obligation? “The Way We Were” is a Taiwanese drama about a group of friends who face love, loss and regret over a span of 16 years. The friends are played by Ruby Lin, Leroy Young (“Love Forward,” “Two Fathers”), Tiffany Hsu, Melvin Sia and Jason Zhou. Ruby Lin, who rose to fame as the main actress of “Princess Pearl,” also co-produced the drama with TVBS.
The story starts in 1998 and will touch upon historical events of the time, giving it a similar feeling to the “Answer Me 1997” and “Reply 1994” series from Korea. You’ll feel nostalgic for days past when watching scenes of hanging out at the pool, working part-time jobs, eating and drinking at the roadside, and taking rides on a motorbike.
