Over the past two weeks, we’ve asked you about the best, brightest and hottest stars and shows in the Taiwanese drama scene. The votes (thousands of them at that!) have been tallied and here are the winners of this year’s “Viki Spring Awards 2015”! Certain stars and their projects have emerged as real fan favorites, showing their awesome popularity.

With a career that spans more than 10 years (and counting!) and filmography that includes hits like “Love Buffet,” “Just You,” and “Fall in Love With Me,” it’s only natural that Aaron Yan has an awesome network of connections. His circle includes his music group Fahrenheit, Puff Guo, Tia Li and Jasper Liu. With friends like that, it’s no wonder he’s your pick for “Most Well-Connected Artist”!
A bonafide songstress on-stage and eye-catching actress on-screen, Dream Girls’ Puff Guo has won your hearts as Favorite Idol-Actor. With roles in the popular dramas “Love Myself or You” and “Just You,” and her popular virtual marriage with Super Junior’s Heechul on “We Got Married Global Edition Season 2,” Puff Guo has definitely solidified her place as one of the top multi-hyphenated starlets in the Taiwanese entertainment scene.
According to your votes, Aaron Yan has mastered the art of the perfect social media presence. Just check out his Instagram profile (@aayan1120): selfies complete with perfect lighting, bi-lingual captions in English and Chinese to appeal to his global fanbase, strong use of #hashtags and on-point use of emojis. Looks like it’s time for us to take some cues and step up our SNS game!
Cheng Hao Wei (played by Jolin Chien) of “Love Myself or You” won your hearts as the Most Friend-Zoned Character for his role as the adorable college buddy. Although close friends with Kai Qi (played by Puff Guo) and even shares a common niche interest in manga, Hao Wei is never able to truly reveal his feelings. With heartbreak like that, it’s easy to see why he was your choice!
It looks like being too cute also means being too cringe-worthy! The lovey-dovey dash toward the finish line by Bao Zhu (played by Ba Yu) and Da Zhi (played by Yorke Sun) in “Love Myself or You” seems to have struck a strong chord with a lot of you. As cute and adorable as this moment was, we have to wonder how the screenwriters thought of writing something like that!
This heart-wrenching moment between Kai Qi (played by Puff Guo) and Zi Jie (played by Jasper Liu) in “Love Myself or You” definitely pulled at our heartstrings (the feels were too real!). Her guilt-filled words to Zi Jie, saying that they can’t be together, had us glued to our screens.
“Fall in Love With Me” made us all gasp with this steamy scene between Tian Xing (played by Aaron Yan) and Le Si (played by Tia Li). Stranded together and drying out their clothes, the two begin to passionately kiss. This unpredictable moment was one that definitely left us all in a ball of emotions!
This ballad from the “Just You” soundtrack is a sweet song about how one slowly opens his or her heart to love. Aaron Yan shows off his singing chops, which first brought him into the spotlight. An easy-to-follow melody, sugary-sweet lyrics and a popular singer-actor make this a classic drama OST sure to win hearts — and it won yours!
