Fans of Kim Soo Hyun have been eagerly awaiting news of his return to dramaland — and their prayers have finally been answered! Both KBS and Key East Entertainment have confirmed on March 9 that Korean megastar Kim Soo Hyun will make his small-screen comeback in the new KBS drama “Producer,” which is penned by Park Ji Eun, the writer of the hit drama “My Love From the Star.”
Although Kim Soo Hyun won much acclaim for his roles in such dramas as “Dream High” and “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” it was his iconic role as the alien professor Do Min Joon in “My Love From the Star” that catapulted the young actor to Hallyu superstardom, making him one of the most popular actors working in Korean entertainment today.
In the new drama “Producer,” Kim Soo Hyun will play a rookie producer of a variety entertainment show. IU will play a top female singer, and Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Tae Hyun will round out the cast. The drama is expected to begin next month!
