Hurray, it’s almost Valentine’s Day! And what better way to get into a romantic mood than to relive the most memorable kissing scenes from our favorite dramas? If you’re looking for some kissing tips before the big day, we’ve gathered these eight do’s and don’t’s from some of the hottest kissing scenes in recent dramas.
Don’t: Force things if the person you like doesn’t feel the same way. Oh Young (played by Song Hye Gyo) was clearly not buying what Oh Soo (played by Jo In Sung) was selling in Episode 13 of “That Winter, The Wind Blows.” Take a hint!
Do: Use your hands, like Joong Won (played by So Ji Sub) in this dramatic, world-turning kiss in “Master’s Sun.”
Don’t: Yank your partner like a rag doll. Geon Woo (played by TaecYeon) in “Who Are You?,” we know you’re strong, but there’s no need to show off!
Do: Smile, to show that there’s nowhere else you’d rather be. The cuteness is overflowing in this tender kiss scene from “I Hear Your Voice.”
Do: Let your emotions show, like Kouichi Aihara in Kimi Kiss. Your one true love (and your TV audience) will thank you for it!
Which girl did Kouichi finally choose in Kimi Kiss?
Don't: Pretend like it was an accident and pull away, like the characters played by Park Shi Hoo and Moon Geun Young in Cheongdam-dong Alice. We all know what's going on between you two!
We see you puckering up for that "Oops!" kiss, Park Shi Hoo!
We hope these drama kissers taught you a few pointers. If you keep these do’s and don’t’s in mind, you’re bound to leave your date wondering, “Wow, is this real life or a drama?”
In honor of Valentine's Day, we've prepared a video of all our favorite kisses of the past year. Feel the love! Note: The video below is available to viewers in the Americas.
Love is in the air. As fans, we often ship the imaginary relationships between two fictional characters from our favorite drama. So when these stars pair up in real life, our hearts cannot handle the cuteness!

We’ve all been there: Watching a foreign-language show late one night and suddenly, what the...? You know you could have written better subtitles, and you don’t even speak the language!
Read on and don’t forget to share yours!
We hate it when that happens.
We hope it’s not contagious.

“Three Days,” the highly-anticipated action thriller starring Park Yoochun, is set to premiere on March 5 on Viki. Park will play a secret service agent in charge of protecting the Korean President. Watch the suspenseful trailer below:
Park Yoochun plays a secret service bodyguard in ‘Three Days.’
Also known by the nickname “Micky,” Park is one of our favorite idol-turned-actors, and we’re excited to see him in what’s sure to be a demanding, dramatic role. It feels like only yesterday that Park made his drama debut with the 2010 fusion historical drama, “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.”
Park Yoochun made his acting debut in the 2010 drama ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal.’
In the hit 2012 K-drama “Rooftop Prince,” Park played yet another regal Chosun Dynasty-era man; except this time, he traveled through time and landed in modern-day Seoul. Prince Lee Gak (played by Park) and his three attendants had to live in a rooftop apartment and wear comically bright-colored track suits as they tried to figure out how to return to their own time period!

Starring alongside Yoon Eun Hye, Park traded in his track suit for a police badge in “I Miss You” (2012). This drama is available to viewers in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

We hope you’re just as excited as we are to see Park return to the small screen. Which Park Yoochun drama character is your favorite? Tell us in the comments!

Recent news revealed that top actors Choi Jin Hyuk (“Heirs,” “Gu Family Book”) and Yoo Ah In (“Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” “Jang Ok Jeong, Lives in Love”) have started preparing for their two-year mandatory Korean military service. Both actors are already in their late 20’s and working hard on multiple acting projects, so we’re sad to see them leave during their peak. The agencies representing the actors confirmed that Choi Jin Hyuk and Yoo Ah In have passed the first audition required to join the special celebrity division of the police force.
Yoo Ah In and Choi Jin Hyuk may be heading to the military soon
Yoo Ah In was born on October 6, 1986, and Choi Jin Hyuk was born on February 9, 1986. Other favorite actors born in the same year and eligible for military enlistment include:
Kim Hyun Joong (June 6, 1986) — currently starring in “Inspiring Generation.” You can see his army-ready physique in the trailer here:
Park Yoochun (June 4, 1986) — preparing for the action drama “Three Days,” premiering on Viki March 5.
Yoon Shi Yoon (September 26, 1986) — recently finished “The Prime Minister is Dating” but did not get the girl. We want him to have one more chance before he leaves for the military!
Can you believe the adorable Yoon Shi Yoon is old enough to enlist in the military?
Which Korean star would you miss the most if he left to serve the mandatory military service?

Drama fans watch their favorite series for the riveting storyline, the complex characters, and the exciting suspense. It’s definitely not because of the steamy shower scenes, or other exhibitions of rampant six-packs that have overtaken the drama manscape.
You probably skip these scenes to move on to the real story, and you certainly don’t pause the scene to watch them again, like the following shower scene of Song Seung Heon in “My Princess.”
Gong Yoo discovers his chocolate abs in ‘Big.’
Let the games begin!
1. Who owns this tastefully-tan torso?
2. How many crunches would it take to look like this?
3. Someone’s ready to take a dip; can we join?
4. If we subscribe to Men’s Health, do we get the man on the cover, too?
5. Is there any room for me in those jeans?
6. This boy-next-door on the beach stars in one of the best American comedy shows.
See the answers to these celebrity six-packs below. How many did you get right?

So we have a confession to make — we’re guilty of the selfie. “Selfie” was Oxford Dictionary’s 2013 Word of the Year, and in case you’ve been living under a rock, it means a picture you take of yourself to post onto social media. And during last night’s 86th Academy Awards, host Ellen DeGeneres grabbed a bunch of Hollywood celebs for the best selfie ever — it now has almost 3 million re-tweets (and counting, as of the time of this writing), making in the most re-tweeted Tweet of all time.
1. Find Your Light
Avoid backlighting (light streaming from behind you) and try to face the light. Natural light is the most flattering. When all else fails, use a filter. Flash is not your friend and you should avoid it if possible. It’s harsh and can cause the dreaded red-eye.
Kim Woo Bin, star of “Heirs” and “School 2013,” takes a selfie that shows the power of good lighting.
Kim Woo Bin leans into the light
2. Grab a Friend
What’s better than sharing a great moment smiling with a friend? OK, so it totally helps if your friends are super good looking like Park Hyung Sik and Lee Min Ho from “Heirs.”
3. Hold the Camera Horizontally and Tilt It Downward 45 Degrees
This angle is very flattering on the body and will make you look slim. Cyndi Wang, star of the Taiwanese drama “Second Life,” makes this look easy. Bonus points for holding her arms away from her body; this trick will make you look skinnier!
4. Find Your Good Side

8. If at First You Don’t Succeed, Try Again
Hi, everyone! My name is Yuria (username: yuriality), and I’m a new member of the Community Team at Viki. I’ll be working with Mariko (mariko), Brittany (brovo) and Stephanie (catchlight) to support and interact with the Viki community, especially the Japanese-language community and the community around Japanese-language titles!
March is just getting started, but this month is already jam-packed with exciting events. Did you catch yesterday’s premiere of “Three Days,” starring Park Yoochun? And did you know that this weekend, we’re heading to KPOPCON 2014 at University of California at Berkeley to talk K-dramas and idols with Dramabeans?
March 3 — Eugene
Eugene, a former member of K-pop group S.E.S., is a gorgeous, kind and talented actress. You can see her in the trailer below for her latest drama, “Can We Love?”
March 11 — Mariko Shinoda
Mariko is a member of the popular Japanese pop group AKB48. In “Love Stories From Fukuoka,” she returns to her hometown to act out a real-life love story.
March 17 — Rob Lowe

Happy birthday to all of the celebrities and fans who have birthdays in March! What will you be doing to celebrate?
This Sunday, those of us in the United States will set our clocks one hour ahead for Daylight Saving Time. Waking up an hour earlier won’t be fun, but we can put the inconvenience in perspective by being grateful that it’s only one hour, and not hundreds of years!
Some of our friends on Viki are not so lucky. These unfortunate characters sometimes wake up to find that they are stranded in the past or in the future with no way to get back to their own time period. Here are some of our favorite recent time travel (or Daylight Saving time gone wrong?) stories.
Man Comes to Tang Dynasty
If you traveled back in time more than 1,000 years, what would you do? Would you use your knowledge of the future to predict events and create useful tools? That’s what Wang Zhi Hao (played by Zhang Jun Han) does in this funny Chinese web series, livening up the past with exciting “new” inventions like perfume and soccer!
History is turned upside down in ‘Man Comes to Tang Dynasty.’
God’s Gift — 14 Days
This Korean thriller premiered this week, taking a different approach to time travel. Through an encounter with the paranormal, a desperate mother (played by Lee Bo Young) is able to go back 14 days before her daughter’s murder to find the killer and stop the crime. You can see her in the suspenseful trailer below:
On a more light-hearted note, Jen Hsiao Kuo (played by Chris Wang) is a a man who finds a software program that lets him “edit” his previous actions in this Taiwanese drama. Trying to delete his relationship mistakes, Hsiao Kuo ends up making things more complicated than they were before.
Chris Wang can ‘undo’ his mistakes in ‘Lucky Days.’
This action-packed fantasy anime depicts a world 10,000 years in the future, where the cities of Dallas, Texas, and Kujukuri, Japan must go to war. Warrior princess Emiya takes on enemies from around the world with her magical sword, but will she ever be able to return home to her kingdom?
Crown Prince Lee Gak (played by Park Yoochun) and three of his attendants accidentally travel from the Chosun Dynasty 300 years into the future to modern-day Seoul, landing in the rooftop apartment of an unsuspecting young woman. Hysterically out of their element, these young men fumble through modern society as they try to solve the murder of the prince’s young wife and return to the past.
Prince Lee Gak experiences a carnival game for the first time in Episode 3.
In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 — a day that marks the special achievements and the empowerment of women in many countries around the world — we want to introduce you to six characters (or groups of women) from our favorite dramas and movies on Viki that command respect, appreciation and maybe a little fear from those around them.
Whether it’s through female friendships, career success or political achievement, these strong women inspire us to go after what we want and not let anything stand in our way!
The Great Queen Seon Deok
Princess Deokman (played by Lee Yo Won) survives being thrown out and abandoned as a child and many attempts by an evil concubine to get rid of her forever. She returns to her rightful place in the palace and rises to become the first female ruler of the Silla kingdom. Don’t mess with this royal lady!
The Great Queen Seon Deok
Early in her life, the successful Shan Wu Shuang (played by Cheryl Yang) made no apologies for putting her career first as she rose to become the editor of a major magazine. When she meets a young male assistant at work, she proves that she can have her cake and eat it, too. You go, girl!
Three best friends in New York City prove that they can be beautiful, successful and feminine. As they handle their high-pressure jobs and relationships, they always find time for their closest female friends. This show is based on a book by “Sex and the City” writer Candace Bushnell.
Watch the trailer:
A group of ordinary women prove that they can do anything they put their minds to. Five women become the Robin Hoods of their neighborhoods as they go after dirty businesses and the criminals who profit from illegal activities. Don’t mess with these ladies or they will run you out of town!

But this tough woman keeps fighting back and gets everything she wants in the end!
The gorgeous Daimon Michiko is the total package, with the looks of a top a fashion model and the brains of a highly skilled surgeon. As a freelance surgeon who goes where she is needed, she stays above the petty political infighting that occurs in the hospitals and stand up for the things she needs do her job well. Happy White Day! If you’ve never heard of this holiday, it’s kinda like the reverse Valentine’s Day in many countries in Asia. The women who received chocolates and other sweets on Valentine’s Day reciprocate on White Day by giving treats to the special men in their lives.
First celebrated in the 1970s, this holiday is one of the most popular among young couples in Asia and the occasion can be seen celebrated in many forms in dramas, anime and even in real life!
Here are five dreamy guys from our favorite shows that we wish we could celebrate with on White Day!
Chris From Parks and Recreation
With his upbeat personality, who wouldn’t want to spend White Day with Chris Traeger (played by Rob Lowe)? Besides, he’s the acting city manager — so he probably knows all the coolest places to take you out around town!
With an IQ of 200, Naoki (played by Yuki Furukawa) is not only the smartest guy in school but also the most good-looking nerd we’ve ever seen. What could be better than spending White Day with a guy like this in the beautiful city of Tokyo?
South Korea’s Girls’ Generation or Japan’s AKB48: which pop girl group reigns supreme?
The ladies of Girls’ Generation (also known as SNSD) and AKB48 are known for their singing and dancing skills, as well as their stylish beauty. But did you know that many of these idols also are actresses in TV dramas and movies? See the variety of acting projects these girls have taken on below.
SNSD vs. AKB48: Which girls group rules in acting?
YoonA in ‘The Prime Minister Is Dating’
